Mammography is specialized medical imaging that uses a low-dose X-ray system to view breast tissue. It supports the early detection and diagnosis of breast disease.
Rossland Diagnostic Clinic is registered with the Ontario Breast Screening Program (OBSP). Women aged 40–74 can book a routine screening directly with us without a doctor’s referral.
Preparing for your visit
On the day of your examination, do not use deodorant, antiperspirant or talcum powder on your chest or underarms, as particles may appear on the mammogram. We recommend wearing a two-piece outfit for comfort.
